It’s often required by venues (i.e. hotels, country clubs), professional or private event planners, and companies to protect themselves, and it not only protects you, it’s part of the value we provide you.
Please be aware, whoever you hire…
if they do not carry the proper liability insurance (not homeowners or rental), you could be personally liable.

I’ve received many frantic calls over the years from people who booked their events with an uninsured, inexperienced, supposedly-professional DJ or entertainment subcontractor (this was their side hustle), then when asked by the venue and/or customer for their Certificate of Insurance (COI) and unable to produce it, the customer has to scramble. Our COI (Certificate of Insurance) is available upon request.
